HUNGARIAN AWARDS

HCA AWARD

The award can be obtained by all licensed ham radio operators and SWLs who meet the tender conditions.
Only the contacts/SWL reports made after 1st January 1968 are valid.
Total number of Hungarian Cities are 297 as of today. There are no band and mode restrictions.
Required cities to be achieved from 
EU:               100 Cities
Outside EU:    50 Cities

BIG HUNTER

The Radioclub of Kaposver town issues this award. The applicant must submit proof contact made after 24.04.1967, when died the greatest Hungarian hunter, Szechenyi Zsigmond.
Confirmed contacts with next different countries, where he hunted.
5H-Tanzania, 5X-Uganda, 5Z-Kenya, 9A-Croatia, GM-Scotland, HA3 + HA4-Hungary,
 I-Italy, KL-Alaska, OE -Austria, ST-Sudan, SU-Egypt, VU-India, YO-Romania.
The applicant without HA3 + HA4 contacts is invalid.
The "Big Hunter" award issued two degrees. Tx and SWL.
CW, SSB and mixed. 1,8-28 MHz ( no WARC ).

Class I.   HA3 + HA4 + 11 countries

Class II.  HA3 + HA4 + 7 countries

HA YL AWARD

The HA-YL Award is issued by the YL-Commitmitte of Hungarian Radio amateur Society (MRASZ) and the HA-YL Club. It can be obtained by any licensed radio amateur or SWL station for confirmed two-way contact with different HA-YL station station of HA-YL stations in the three categories, as follows:
Categories: HF, VHF, MIXED

Conditions: for EU stations 10 ponts, for DX stations 5 points

Points: each two-way QSO with the member station of HA-YL Club 2 points each two-way QSO with any other HA-YL stations 1 point

All the different YL operators of a radio club means as separate YL stations. There is no restriction for time, band, mode, but the contacts through active repeaters are not valid HA-YL Award. An additional stamp can be obtained by confirming contacts with different HA-YL stations from all (ten) Hungarian districts (HA/HG 1-0). The same station can be represented only once in your application. The application must contain GCR list that includes the name of the YL. The QSL cards not be attached, but the award-committee may request the submitting of them. The application must be certified by two licensed radio amateurs.

Fee: 7 IRC's, additional stamp: 1 IRC.

"Ladies of Siefok" Award
 Commemorating the twentieth anniversary of funding the first Ham Radio Club of Ladies in Hungary ‑ call sign HA3XYL, QTH Siefok ‑ any licensed Ham Radio Amateur and Short Wave Listener of the world can be awarded after collecting the following amount of points:
            Hungarian Stations or SWLs                100 points
            European Stations or SWLs                  50 points
            DX stations or SWLs                            20 points
 Any two-way contact with or SWL report to HA3XYL club station yields 20 points;
 The same with any member of the Radio Club of Ladies in Si�fok yields 10 points; (members are: HA3s FMW, FRE, FRK, FRV, GQ, KA, KX, KY, LD, LP, LY TLE, TLT;
HG3s FLD, FLG, FMS, FMY, IK, IQ)
Gentlemen contesters and champions of Siefok city yield 5 points;

There are no restrictions concerning bands and operating modes. Only contacts made after 20th of October, 1967 are valid. No QSLs should be attached; the list containing the data of the QSLs should be verified and signed by two licensed radio amateurs.
The price of the award: 8 Euros or 10 USD or 2000 HUF.

To facilitate the collection of the necessary points the YLs and XYLs of Siefok are active every March and every last mondays of other months at late afternoon (local time) in HF and VHF bands.

PANNONIA AWARD

It is issued by the MTTOSZ Radio Club of Gyor on the basis of the QSO-s or SWL-s made after january 1st,1996.
On short wave:
The hungarian stations have to submit 12 proof QSO-s from HA1,2,3,4 call area, three contacts from each call area on two bands.
The foreign stations have to submit 8 proof QSO-s from HA1,2,3,4 call area, two contacts from each call area on two bands.
On VHF/UHF:
The applicants have to submit 4 proof QSO-s from HA1,2,3,4 call area, one from each call area.
Fee of the award:
In case of the hungarian stations: 800 HUF
In case of the foreign stations: 5 USD or 10 IRC

"HUNGARIAN CASTLE SERIES"

The award has three classes. 12 coupons compiled continuously from number 1 to 12 or from 13 to 24 or from 25 to 36 with 5 IRC means your.
BRONZE DIPLOMA
 24 coupons compiled continuously from number 1 to 24 or from 13 to 36 with 8 IRC means your.
 SILVER DIPLOMA
36 coupons, the full series from number 1 to 36 with 10 IRC means your.
 GOLD DIPLOMA
"The copy of LOG must be confirmed by two licensed radio amateurs.

The award available for SWL's also."

NEW BUDAPEST AWARD

The NEW BUDAPEST AWARD is issued by Radioamateur Society of Budapest (MRASZ-BSZ).

It can be obtained by all licenced radioamateur and SWLs
In order to have a possibility for obtaining the NEW BUDAPEST AWARD you have to confirm the different HA5 or HG5 stations as follows:

HF:
- HA stations and SWLs: 75 different HA5 stations;
- EU stations and SWLs: 50 different HA5 stations;
- DX stations and SWLs: 25 different HA5 stations.

VHF:
- HA/HG stations: 50 different HA/HG5 stations;
- within 500 km distance other stations: 30 different
  HA/HG5 station;
- over 500 km: 5000 km summarised distance with HA/HG5   stations
- Through satellites: 3 different HA/HG5 stations

The same station may be represented only once in your application.

Any radioamateur bands and modes can be used. Contacts through earth repeater are prohibited.

All contacts are valid from
1st January, 1990.

The application must be certified by two licensed amateurs.
It must be sent with the fee 6 IRC to the address of award manager

Issued by the Radioclub of Veszte to all licensed radio amateurs, and SWLis for
contacts from 1 January, 1993. in HF, and from 1 January 2003. in VHF/UHF/SHF You need points to ern the Award
